VENICE, FL—Marge Maisto has been elected to the board of directors of Caldwell Trust Company according to R.G. “Kelly” Caldwell, Jr., CEO and president. “We’re delighted that Marge has joined us,” he says. “She has dedicated her life to taking care of people and families, and that is exactly what we do in the trust business.”

During her decades of dedication in health-related fields—25 years of them in healthcare administration—Maisto advanced from bedside nursing to senior vice president for a community medical center in New Jersey to president and CEO of Tidewell Hospice, Inc., in Sarasota.
She relocated to Florida to join Tidewell in July 2000. During her ten-year tenure, she guided the not-for-profit through exponential growth. Under her leadership, Tidewell advanced from serving 450 patients daily in its four-county service area to serving over 1500 patients a day through hospice and pre-hospice programs, with an annual budget that increased from $16.8 million to $92 million. By the time Marge retired last year, she was overseeing the activities of more than 800 employees and 1200 volunteers.
Maisto has served on the board of directors for Coastal Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. for over five years. Since her retirement, she also became involved with the nursing program at State College of Florida, the Women’s Resource Center in Sarasota and the Nonprofit Resource Center of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Inc.
Maisto holds a Bachelor’s in Nursing from Fairleigh Dickinson University, a Master’s in Education from Seton Hall University, a Master’s in Science from Rutgers University and an Executive Education Certificate from the Wharton School of Business.
