RG. ‘Kelly’ Caldwell, Jr., CEO/president of Caldwell Trust Company, was inducted for his second term as president of the Argus Foundation at its annual meeting, held on March 7 in the Francis Ballroom. Outgoing Argus president Michael Quillen of Gecko’s Hospitality Group passed the gavel to the incoming president.
In accepting the position, Kelly quoted Warren Buffett, legendary business leader, investor and philanthropist, on Buffett’s investment philosophy: “When we own portions of outstanding businesses with outstanding management, our favorite holding period is forever.”
Kelly has been a member of the Argus Foundation since 1995 and was named to the board of directors in 2004. He served his first term as president in 2009.
Other Argus members elected to the board of directors are Rod Hershberger, president of PGT Industries; John T. Stafford, chairman of the board of FCCI; Joel Schleicher, president of NextOne; and Todd Morton, president and owner of Morton’s Gourmet Market.
