VENICE, FL - Marc Hanson has joined Caldwell Trust Company as chief financial officer and vice president according to R. G. “Kelly” Caldwell, CEO and president. Hanson brings more than 18 years of experience in finance and securities to his new position, most recently as a vice president for six years with Citigroup in Tampa.
Hanson’s responsibilities at Citigroup included oversight of financial reporting and operations and balance sheet risk management. Other positions over the years have placed him in the trust divisions and accounting departments of several prominent banks and securities management firms. Since 2008 he has also been an instructor in online courses in business, management, marketing, ethics and accounting with the University of Phoenix. In addition, he has served on the board of directors of the Manatee Cal Ripken League since 2010, initially as treasurer and currently as board chair.
