Caldwell Cares: InStride | Horses + People = Partnership

by Caldwell Trust

InStride Therapy, Inc., the Nokomis-based provider of equine-assisted therapies and activities, recently partnered with Easterseals. The formal partnership will enable the two organizations to serve even more children and adults in the Gulf Coast region.

Tom Waters, CEO of Easterseals and now of InStride, explained that the “Easterseals at InStride” partnership will increase the geographic reach of a variety of proven therapy services and bring much-needed new services to the community, including programs for veterans, first responders, and children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The joint operating agreement also will provide more effective use of the charitable dollars entrusted to both organizations, such as by cross-training and integrating therapy teams.

To sustain some of their costs, fundraisers are held annually. The annual Black-Tie & Blue Jeans Equestrian Gala was held on Saturday, November 9, 2019, and chaired by Sheryl Vieira, vice president of marketing and PR at Caldwell.

Along for the ride were Reppard Gordon, Melissa Caldwell, Ashley Sweeney, Erin Hurter, Paul Mattison, Renee Phinney, Daila Lybargr, Jordan Jones, Maureen Bradley, Val Vance and Tom Waters.

Special musical entertainment was provided by Boston Red Sox World Series pitcher Bronson Arroyo.
