“Steve graciously made time on his schedule to meet with the students and I couldn’t have been more thrilled,” Kelly said. “Young people rarely have the opportunity to hear someone of his caliber. We’re delighted that we could bring Steve to them.”
Moore’s talk at Venice High School was the latest example of the company’s interest in educating students for a career in finance, or at least helping them learn about economic aspects of the world they will soon enter. Among its other commitments to education, Caldwell has been a table sponsor since 2005 of Brunch on the Bay, the annual USF Sarasota- Manatee Brunch scholarship event. In addition, in 2011 the company established The Caldwell Trust Company Business Scholarship to help underwrite educational opportunities for students of the USF College of Business on the Sarasota Manatee campus.
